Can the Flowchiller be used in freezing temperatures?

We do not recommend using the Flowchiller outdoors in very cold conditions or during severe sub-zero temperatures. Low temperatures can affect the unit's motor and battery, which are not designed to withstand extreme cold.

If the Flowchiller is used when the temperature is around 0°C, it is very important to ensure that the water is always circulating. Standing water may freeze, which can damage the electronics and pump.

Water also expands when it freezes, meaning that parts of the tub may be damaged or crack if water freezes inside the system.

At temperatures around freezing point, you should therefore always make sure that the water continues to circulate and avoid using or storing the system in a way that allows water to freeze inside the unit or tub.
