How does lymphatic massage work, and what effects can it have?

The lymphatic system is an important part of the body's fluid balance and helps transport lymphatic fluid throughout the body. Unlike blood circulation, the lymphatic system has no central pump like the heart. The flow therefore depends on factors such as the body's movements, muscle activity, and external pressure.

Lymphatic massage uses a soft, rhythmic, and directed pressure to stimulate lymphatic flow and help fluid move through the tissue. This can help reduce fluid retention and swelling, and create a feeling of lighter, less tired legs.
